About Gail Walter

Gail Walter Wellness CoachI’ve had a diverse career over the past 30 years, working in a variety of positions in the health industry. Over time, my love of interacting with people and sharing in their successes led me to wellness coaching. I am passionate about good nutrition and am heartbroken when I see children eating food with poor nutritional benefits that will set them up for potential obesity, diabetes and other health problems. And I want to be part of the solution.

As a certified wellness coach through the Wellcoaches® Coach Training Program, I might best describe my coaching style as nonjudgmental, insightful, down to earth and compassionate.

In addition to being a certified wellness coach, I am a certified personal trainer. I walk the talk by eating a healthy, mostly plant-based diet and by staying physically active in a variety of ways. I enjoy many pastimes including gardening, birding, and volunteering with a local land conservancy and other community groups.

I live with a gluten-free family member and am happy to share information about healthy diets, gluten-free cooking, and many other important aspects of nutrition.

I’m not only passionate about wellness for humans, but as a former practicing veterinarian, I advocate a healthy lifestyle for pets as well, and have developed an exercise program that can be done with your dog (called Fitness with Fido).
